Cub Scouts will love this Cub Scout LEGO Challenge Calendar!

We pulled some of our favorite things from Cub Scouts (like campfires, pinewood derby cars, and popcorn) and put them into a LEGO Challenge Calendar.

While we love putting LEGO sets together, they don’t usually stay together too long. They tend to wind up in the big bins all mixed together. We really love creating our own things.

See our post on tips for organizing all those LEGO bricks.

Everyone loves a LEGO Challenge!

How to Use this Cub Scout LEGO Calendar

This “calendar” looks like a calendar, but can be started at any time. It’s just 31 awesome ideas for Cub Scout-themed LEGO creativity!

After you print the Cub Scout LEGO Challenge Calendar, just hang it somewhere where it will be seen or remembered. Then, challenge your kids to be as creative as they can be with our Cub Scout LEGO prompts.

On the calendar, you’ll find the different cub scout ranks. The great part about these LEGO Challenge Calendars is that they’re so open to interpretation, leaving plenty of room for creativity. Kids can make paw prints, a whole animal, just the head, or something else that symbolizes that animal/rank.

If you are a cub scout leader, this would make activity when you have some downtime or something to send home for parents to use over a break. Kids will be begging their parents to snap pics of their LEGO creations to send to you!

I love getting the LEGO Classic Creative boxes. They offer a wide variety of bricks in different shapes and colors. There are no specific instructions for the box, but it does include an idea book.

Grab your box of mixed pieces and get building! Kids, no matter the age, will love this challenge! If your kiddo (like my youngest) is too little to read the calendar, you’ll have to read it for them. And trust me, they’ll remind you daily! You could snap a picture of each day’s creation and put it in a little book for them! How fun is that?!?

Will you make a Girl Scout themed calendar? The girls like to build LEGO creations, too. They don’t need to be “girl themed.” Girl Scouts earn badges for being artists, athletes, citizens, cooks, first aiders, naturalists. They learn and practice skills in digital arts, healthy living, performance, science and technology, storytelling, crafts, diys, investigation, outdoors (hiking, camping, trailblazing, adventure), practical life skills, adventure, animals, creative play, innovation, manners, financial literacy, business( especially cookie business). Girl Scouts earn awards for picking a project they care about and making a lasting difference (bronze, silver, gold), international friendship, leadership, community service, global action, safety and service to others. Thank you for considering this project.

I will definitely look into creating a Girl Scout themed calendar! I was a girl scout myself. I’m currently a mom of two boys and a Cub Scout leader, so that just came up first. Thanks for your suggestion!

I love these but my so. Is a little young. Can you make something for toddlers or small age school children? Now that they are stuck in the house this would bring so much joy and fun family time. Thank you!!
