Charlie, our 9-year-old, received this LEGO City Ice-cream Truck set #60253 as a birthday present. Here are his thoughts:

It’s cool.

Ugh… boys!

It took him about 25-30 minutes to build the 200 piece set.

We do not like sticker sets and this one does have a few, which we have to help put on because it’s not worth the heartache of what happens when stickers go on wrong, and then you have to try to fix them and that does not always work out. But it makes the set. I mean, for an ice-cream truck, you need the ice cream menu!

There are 2 minifigures and a dog included in the set. One of the minifigures is the ice cream truck driver/salesperson and the other is a skateboarder.

There are two instruction books for the set. You can also use the Digital Instructions PLUS via the LEGO Life app. With this, you can zoom and rotate the model as you build.

You can open the windows of the ice cream truck and “serve” the popsicles or ice cream cones.

You can also open one whole side of the truck allowing you to easily put your minifigure and ice cream products inside.

The giant popsicle on the top of the truck may be my favorite part.

And… because it’s a truck, it has wheels and actually moves. Always a plus!

I think this set really has play value as it is an interactive set that kids can play with over and over and let their imagination go wild through role play.

This is a really fun little set that’s under $20 and is great to get that summer feeling started!

FREE SHIPPING every day on orders over $35!
